What is an acceleration Summit

GLLI's Acceleration summit is a gathering that brings together beneficiaries of its programmes, donors, potential donors, community partners and other stakeholders to present our projects and businesses created by its beneficiaries. The aim of the summit is to build traction around beneficiaries' businesses and create a platform for them to pitch and ask for summit. Our first ever acceleration summit took place in Mthatha on 12 December 2019 with representatives of Industrial Development cooperation, Small Enterprise Development Agency (Seda), National Youth Development Agency (NYDA), KSD municipality and other stakeholders. During this summit our beneficiaries also received their cisco-accredited certificates in IT Essentials, Cyber Security and Internet of things which they earned during their training period. Each participant also walked away with in-kind start-up capital comprising of tools, worth R5,000 each.
