Leading Light Bootcamp

What is a Leading Light Boot Camp?

The Leading Light Boot Camp is a week-long international immersion program that brings together emerging entrepreneurs from grade 11 and second year students locally and internationally at a predetermined university campus. At this camp students are exposed to design thinking, entrepreneurship education and ethical leadership. Students are engaged in inter-group dialogues, panel discussions, debates, community and experiential learning activities to enable them develop community empathy and develop practical solutions (products and services) to challenges their communities face. Students are given opportunities to interact with and listen to stories from some successful business people, scholars and prominent leaders in the community.

The sessions are facilitated by carefully selected teachers, university lecturers, social impact entrepreneurs and facilitators around the world. An important aspect of the LL Camp is the development of a Personal Leadership Action plan, where participants are supported to design a roadmap of an idea or product they would be working on for the next 12 months.

GLLI has a partnership with Walter Sisulu University.
